This exploration begins with my interest in political borders. Invisible lines that are nonetheless real, tangible and more often than not critical in people´s lives. Nowadays, xenophobia is at is raise, immigration laws are getting more and more rigid, we plan to build walls and we call each other aliens. We navigate within boundaries not only political but also religious, racial and economic. This lead me to dwell in the form itself, the line, it`s possibilities and paradoxes. A line is an agent of division as it is of connection. The materials are chosen to echo land, nature and flesh. The unifying element among this sculptures is an arbitrarily line that intervenes their surface making of bodies that were once whole, divided.
